OBJECTIVE
To maintain a state of preparedness and to deal with emergencies, provide timely response, search & rescue, and emergency medical treatment to the victims.
NATURE OF EMERGENCY
Rescue 1122 responsible to cover the road traffic accidents, medical and trauma Emergencies, fire and collapse of buildings, other natural and man made disasters in timely manners.
Overview
- Emergency Service Rescue 1122 established in the four Districts (Mirpur, Bhimber, Kotli, Sudhnoti) in 2007.
- Expansion in Muzaffarabad (2013), Jhelum Valley and Rawalakot(2016)
- As per Azad Jammu & Kashmir Emergencies Services Rescue 1122 Act 2017, the Emergency Service Rescue 1122 shall be a part of SDMA (Section 03 Sub-section 02 )
- Setup at 6 tehsils Shardah, Leepa, Hajira, Abbasspur, Khuirata, Samahni (2022)
Special Initiatives
- Coordination and communication with Line Departments/DDMA’s control rooms & SEOC and other stake Holders in all Districts.
- Community Training & Volunteer Enrollment Program.
- Training of officials of Government & Private Organizations.
- MOU Signed between the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Government of the Punjab in 2010 at Emergency Services Academy Rescue 1122 Lahore.
